Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, spotlighted the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s economic revival efforts following the challenges inherited from the prior National Democratic Congress administration.

He recollected the NPP’s unwavering commitment to its social contract, underscored by educational reforms, agricultural transformation, and a digital economy push. “Continuity is vital for a promising future,” he insisted.
Reflecting on the 2016 NPP Manifesto, Bawumia conveyed pride in fulfilling most pledges. “Our people-centric approach has catalyzed significant improvements under President Akufo-Addo’s guidance,” he said.
NPP National Chairman, Freddie Blay, reiterated this success, contrasting it with the previous regime’s “disarray and misgovernance.” He praised Ghana’s resurgence under Akufo-Addo, emphasizing economic prosperity and crucial institutional reforms.
“We’ve achieved 80% of our previous electoral promises, manifest in educational accessibility, industrialization initiatives, and more,” Blay pointed out.
Regarding infrastructure, Blay cited the transformative IPEP and the “Planting for Food and Jobs” programs as economy game-changers.
Navigating through the pandemic, Blay commended Akufo-Addo’s adept leadership. “Our journey towards December’s elections demands stability and competence to preserve our collective progress and envision a transformed Ghana,” he concluded.
