KEY POINTS

  • Ghana’s inflation falls to 6.3 percent in November 2025.
  • Food and non-food prices show significant declines.
  • Businesses are urged to leverage lower inflation for efficiency.

In November 2025, Ghana’s inflation rate fell from 8.0 percent in October to 6.3 percent. The Consumer Price Index report from the Ghana Statistical Service says that this is the eleventh month in a row that prices have gone down.

Government Statistician Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu presented the data in Accra. He said reductions in both food and non-food inflation largely drove the decline. Overall, prices rose by 0.9 percent between October and November.

Food inflation fell sharply to 6.6 percent, down from 9.5 percent in October. Non-food inflation decreased to 6.1 percent from 6.9 percent. Inflation in the services sector also eased to 3.8 percent from 4.6 percent.

The North East Region had the greatest inflation rate at 12.3 percent, while the Savannah Region had the lowest at -0.02 percent.

The rate of inflation for goods made in the area fell from 8.0 percent to 6.8 percent, and the rate of inflation for goods fell from 9.3 percent to 7.3 percent.

Lower inflation offers opportunities for businesses

Dr. Iddrisu encouraged businesses to capitalize on the lower inflation environment. Businesses may improve their efficiency, make local supply chains stronger, cut down on waste, and pass on the benefits to customers.

Inflation going down could mean good news for household budgets. It also provides an opportunity for policymakers to reinforce economic stability while encouraging sustainable business practices.
