Bawumia’s leadership praised for education continuity
Representing Bawumia at a forum attended by parents and students, Adutwum praised the vice president’s track record and commitment to building on Akufo-Addo’s achievements.
“Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated an impressive grasp of our educational landscape and the potential for further growth,” Adutwum said, affirming his belief that Bawumia’s leadership would drive the next phase of the nation’s development.
Sustaining key educational initiatives
Adutwum pointed to major achievements under the current administration, such as the Free Senior High School initiative, which has broadened access to education for thousands of Ghanaian students.
Infrastructure improvements and other policy advancements were also cited as foundational elements that Bawumia is well-suited to carry forward.
“Dr. Bawumia’s vision aligns with President Akufo-Addo’s policies, and his experience is essential to expanding these gains to meet future educational needs,” he added.
The Free SHS program has been a hallmark of Akufo-Addo’s presidency, aimed at providing tuition-free secondary education and reducing barriers for Ghanaian youth.
