In a grand ceremony attended by Reverend Fathers, Sir Knights, and distinguished guests, Bro. Samuel Aduama-Larbi was inaugurated as the sixth Grand Knight of Council 111, unveiling an ambitious vision for the 2024/2025 administration.
The ceremony, marked by gratitude and celebration, saw Bro. Aduama-Larbi expresses his appreciation to attendees, including notable figures such as Sir Knight Ekow Paintsil and Sir Knight Charles Cobb. His speech reflected a deep sense of honour and responsibility towards his new role.
Starting his journey in April 2012 at Council 12, Koforidua, the Grand Knight, reflected on his progression and the honour of being a foundational member of Council 111. He emphasized the need for divine guidance and the value of advice from experienced officers and peers.
According to a report by the Daily Graphic, Bro. Aduama-Larbi called for active participation from the brothers of CL111, stressing the importance of unity and collective efforts in achieving the administration’s objectives. He highlighted the critical need for time, commitment, dedication, and resources to ensure the success of the sixth administration.
The Grand Knight’s strategic plan for the term focused on spiritual growth, council visibility, membership welfare, and establishing a viable business venture. These initiatives align with the Supreme Council’s strategic pillars: Spiritual Development, Structural Development, and System Development.
In terms of Spiritual Development, he encouraged practices like praying the Rosary, attending Holy Mass regularly, and participating in council meetings and spiritual growth programs.
For Structural Development, plans include initiating the construction of a temple and expanding the Piggery Project, a legacy of the 5th Administration.
System Development will see the implementation of the Membership Information Management System (MIMS) for growth projection and operational efficiency improvements, including acquiring a laptop for council activities.
A key mission for the 6th Administration is the consecration of a court and potentially incorporating the junior order. An aggressive membership drive aims to bolster the council’s numbers significantly.
Bro. Aduama-Larbi also introduced the “FRATERNAL CALL” program to foster deeper engagement with brothers and discuss building a Model Council in the Koforidua region.
In a generous gesture, the Grand Knight donated various items to Council 111, including an altar, a St. Anthony Statue, altar cloths, crucifixes, candles, and ceremonial uniforms.
Concluding his inauguration speech, Bro. Aduama-Larbi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the installation committee and reaffirmed his commitment to leading Council 111 with nobility and humility.
