FHS Debunks Claims of COVID Test Corruption, Cites Life-Saving Mission

by Oluwatosin Racheal Alabi

Frontiers Healthcare Services (FHS) struck back against corruption claims linked to its Airport COVID-19 testing operations, labeling them baseless political maneuvers.

“These accusations lack substance, emerging from quarters seeking political mileage,” asserted an FHS spokesperson. The counter came after public figures, including Okudzeto Ablakwa, questioned the project’s credibility.

FHS’s pivotal role during the pandemic’s height was significant. They facilitated rapid testing, critical in halting the virus’s spread via global travel. “Our efforts necessitated massive resource allocation and steadfast dedication,” noted the representative, highlighting their operation’s intensity.

Securing the contract was no accident. As Ghana’s aerial frontiers reopened, a trustworthy partner was essential to thwart the virus’s entry. FHS’s detailed pitch to Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) delivered a robust response, propelling Ghana to the forefront of airport COVID-19 screening globally.

“FHS’s approach was revolutionary and efficient,” declared a National COVID-19 Task Force member. The infrastructure, boasting dual clean air labs and multiple testing stations, materialized within two weeks, showcasing agility unmatched by governmental bodies.

Regarding testing precision, FHS emphasized their advanced Automated Immunoassay System. “Entities like JH Ryu independently affirm our method’s reliability,” the spokesperson added.

The operation’s logistical scope explained the steep initial $150 testing fee. “Infrastructure and personnel expenses dictated the pricing,” the representative clarified, acknowledging the comprehensive care for their team amidst the pandemic’s health hazards.

Addressing financial opacity claims, FHS underscored their dealings’ clarity. “Our transparent agreement with GACL ensured reasonable remuneration and pandemic-era employment,” they reported, dismissing undue profit allegations by highlighting absorbed infrastructure expenses.

Furthermore, FHS rejected any insinuations of government partiality. “Claims of state favoritism are unfounded and spiteful,” they insisted.

Conclusively, FHS lamented the politicization of their pivotal pandemic role. “Our focus was unequivocally on life preservation,” the spokesperson affirmed, ending on their firm commitment to public health.
