Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif, popularly known as Blacko, has won the prestigious Best International Flow award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, making him the second Ghanaian artist to achieve this feat after Sarkodie in 2019.
The award, which was announced on October 3, 2023, at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, recognizes the best rap artists from outside the United States. Black Sherif beat nine other nominees from across the world, including AKA and K.O from South Africa, Central Cee and J Hus from the UK, Gazo and Ninho from France, Major RD, Tasha and Tracie from Brazil, and Sampa The Great from Zambia.
