Dr. Mahama calls for Sammy Gyamfi suspension after viral video

In an interview with JoyNews’ The Pulse on Monday, May 12, he made this claim in reference to the controversy surrounding Gyamfi’s viral video.

Recently, a video of Sammy Gyamfi giving dollar notes to Nana Agradaa, a contentious fetish priestess who is now a preacher, went viral, sparking outrage from the people.

Both inside and outside the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the video has drawn condemnation, with some members demanding that Gyamfi be disciplined.

His acts, according to many, go against the party’s accountability position and the code of conduct that President Mahama established for the NDC.

Dr. Kabiru Mahama underlined that the party leadership must respond forcefully due to the gravity of the situation.

Regarding the suspension, he remarked, “I think that’s the least that can happen to him.” “It’s the least, given the seriousness of what he did.”

According to his remarks, not suspending Gyamfi can be interpreted as a lackadaisical reaction to conduct that is considered unsuitable for a high-ranking public officer.

According to Myjoyonline, Dr. Mahama went on to say that the NDC must exhibit integrity and discipline at all party levels as it gets ready to lead the country.

The Walewale MP feels that suspension would make it very evident that such behavior is not allowed, despite calls from certain grassroots members for harsher penalties.

On the subject, the NDC has not yet issued an official statement.
