After a brief break, Walk With Lexis, the health-awareness walk founded by Louis Sakyiamah (Lexis Bill), returns Saturday, 27 September 2025. This year’s edition links up with the FESTAC Africa Festival, raising awareness about gender-based violence alongside wellness.
FESTAC Africa, revived in recent years, draws on the legacy of the original Festival of Black and African Arts and Culture, while aimed at celebrating African heritage, culture, arts, and unity.
Lexis Bill’s fitness and advocacy journey
Lexis Bill is a Ghanaian media personality, best known for hosting Drive Time on Joy FM 99.7. He launched Walk With Lexis in 2016 to encourage health, wellness, and community bonding via walks, screenings, aerobics, and health talks.

Furthermore his initiative has attracted high-profile figures—politicians, diplomats, celebrities—and won awards. In 2018, Walk With Lexis was crowned “Best CSR Event” at the Ghana Event Awards.
What is FESTAC Africa Festival
FESTAC Africa 2025 is a pan-African arts and culture festival held in Ghana under the theme “unity in diversity.” Activities include art exhibitions, music performances, cultural dialogues, and heritage site visits.
Its roots lie in FESTAC ’77 (Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture) and earlier gatherings (like the 1966 Dakar festival), events meant to celebrate Black identity globally.
How the collaboration works this time
The 2025 Walk With Lexis event is officially partnering with FESTAC Africa. Lexis Bill has also engaged with the Ghana Tourism Authority and FESTAC leadership as a Festival
The walk will start at Ayi Mensah Police Station and proceed to Lodge Tavern opposite Peduase Lodge. Along the route there will be stops for aerobics and health talks, aligning with FESTAC’s broader cultural and also heritage programming.
